Virtual Seminar - Acheivements of the Reusable Cone Program 2021
Alessandra Gerbolini, general manager of Textil El Amazonas, together with the Sustainability Research and Development team, held a Conversation last March 2022 about our program for the return and reuse of thread cones for industrial sewing.
Textil El Amazonas is now a "BIC" Company
Since November 2021 we have become a Collective Interest and Benefit (BIC in Spanish) company, reaffirming our will to create consciousness and contribute to our community with the important results of our sustainability actions, which we have developed since 2018. Today our company’s purpose is focused on the efficient use of our resources, as well as empowering artisans through handcraft textile design.
We feel very happy to be part of the group of companies who believe and demonstrate that important positive change can be generated through our activities and products.

Alessandra Gerbolini, general manager of Textil El Amazonas, tells “Mundo Textil” magazine about the programme we have designed in order to become a sustainable company. The first project is a water treatment plant with which we will be able to reuse 75% of the water that is used in our dyeing process.
