In tren we are conscious of the importance of taking care of the water in each of our production processes. This is why we have applied for the Blue Certificate.

"The Blue Certificate (Certificado Azul in Spanish) is the award bestowed by the National Water Authority (Autoridad Nacional del Agua in Spanish) to the responsible water users that participate in the “Hydrological Footprint Program” and successfully implement the commitments assumed, such as the measurement and reduction of their hydrological footprint, as well as their shared value program.

In any region, specially in those where water is scarce, the measurement of the hydrological footprint and its analysis has proved to be a very useful tool to provide efficient information about water use, as well as encourage dialogue between different sectors of the government and the population in order to obtain proposals for a better consumption."

As part of the commitments assumed with the National Water Authority (ANA - Autoridad Nacional del Agua in Spanish), we carried out educational workshops about the responsible use of water in five schools from our neighbourhood, as well as with our immediate neighbours. Our workshops were both informative as well as fun, since the learning process was done using games and collective reflection. All the participants committed themselves to take action at home in order to have a more responsible and conscious water use.
